Elementary Writing Workshop ( 3rd-7th Grade)

Does your child need a boost in writing? This small Saturday morning class helps students build confidence while sharpening their grammar, spelling, and writing flow. Over six weeks, they’ll learn how to plan out ideas, stay organized, and write with clarity.

Teaching writing skills and processes can be fun and rewarding! In this class we will foster a community of writers through creative writing activities, personal journaling, analyzing good writing and playing games to acquire the mechanics necessary for effective and good quality products. Students will have some flexibility in choosing their topics, genres and projects to increase engagement and ownership, making it more meaningful for each student.

1) Creative writing challenges and prompts

2) Montessori Grammar and sentence analysis

3) The writing process (brainstorming, drafting, revising, editing)
